The correct installation depends on the property, intended use, system type, hazard classification and water-provider requirements. Keep any notice, plan or provider instruction available for review.
The Assembly and Site Must Be Reviewed Together
A technician considers device type and size, pipe configuration, access, clearance, protection from physical damage and future testing needs. The website cannot select a compliant assembly from an address alone.
Pricing Depends on the Accepted Scope
Eligible new backflow installations up to and including 3 inches are estimated at $2,850–$3,200. Final pricing depends on the device, site conditions, configuration and required work.
Testing and District Submission May Follow
When applicable to the accepted scope, the installed assembly is tested and the result is submitted to the water district. The district controls its own records, requirements and acceptance.
